Happy Tuesday, fellow readers! NDItech hopes you had a wonderful President’s Day. I’m Morgan, and I have been passed the torch to give you your weekly roundups! Last week was an eventful week for NDItech as we gained two new members to the group! Jaclyn and I are very excited to be working with such a wonderful team, and we look forward to reaching out to you in the future through our blog.

Last week was also a big week for the industries of science and technology. The critically acclaimed band, OK Go launched their new music video in zero gravity! Talk about breakthroughs! (You can watch the video here...) In the field of international development, the United Nation’s International Day of Women and Girls in Science was held on February 11, 2016. One of the key themes of the event was promoting women’s participation in policymaking processes. The United Nations has noted that science, technology, and innovation all play a pivotal role in development and policymaking. The event used this theme heavily in the conference as gender gaps in technology, especially in the developing world, are still prevalent today.
