Happy Monday, Readers! A few days ago, the world lost one of the greats. Legendary boxer, Muhammed Ali passed away on June 3. Although his death has come as a shock to many, his legacy will continue to live on. Outside of the boxing arena, Muhammed Ali was known for being a global humanitarian and supporting a variety of development initiatives, including working with orphanages in Africa and Asia.In an interview, Ali said “I’ve always wanted to be more than just a boxer. More than just the three-time heavyweight champion. I wanted to use my fame, and this face that everyone knows so well, to help uplift and inspire people around the world.”

Similar to Ali, NDItech has continued to support a number of development initiatives in the democracy, citizen participation and human rights space with our DemTools initiative, which aims to strengthen democracies around the globe by allowing citizens to collaborate and engage with their political leaders. Through our DemTools suite and several other programs at NDI, technology continues to play a key role in reaching development goals.
